Bite Size Courses
The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) launched the Bite Size Courses
campaign on 25th June 2001 and have managed to organise nearly 20,000
courses in less than two months.
The Bite Size Courses are:
- free,
- short - typically one hour, but no more than three hours,
- backed by the National Organisation for Adult Learning (NIACE),
- particularly targeted at adults who have done no learning since school
- however, no-one is excluded,
- there are lots of computer courses, but there are also other courses
such as languages, crafts, job interview skills and help with reading,
- everyone will receive a certificate.
