Welcome to the East Sussex Adult Learner Forum.
The Learner Forum is open to anyone and everyone that is interested in
learning. So, in actual fact, this page is not 'about us', it is ABOUT
YOU!
The Adult Learner Forum is one way of putting the Disability Statement
into practice and making it a living document. Based around the expected
outcomes of the Disability Statement, the Forum is designed to:
- keep learners informed of learning opportunities,
- monitor equal access to learning environments,
- help you find out about individual learning accounts,
- find out about what learners want to learn,
- share learning experiences,
- inform learning providers about what learners want,
- give you links to other learning websites.

About this website
The website is made up of eight main sections:
- Home
The front page.
- About Us
The section you are currently in. This includes an online version of
the disability statement.
- News
This is where any news will be placed, which will primarily be provided
by adult learners in East Sussex and relevant organisations. This
is you! Any long-term news will be archived in the Information section.
- Information
This section and the Downloads section will store much the same information.
You can read it online in this section, or download a one-page version
from the Downloads section. This currently includes information on Individual
Learning Accounts. It will also store archived news that is still relevant.
Again, this is a place where you can contribute to the Forum. Please
check the help files on contributing to the Adult Learner Forum for
how to do this. You can read the help files online in this section,
or download them from the Downloads section.
- Join In
The Adult Learner Forum includes an online group in which people can
join discussion groups, set polls, chat and share files. Find out more
about this here.
- Downloads
This section is designed for any downloadable files. It also includes
software for PC's that can read text aloud. We are aiming to provide
most information, not only for viewing on the website, but also as files
that can be quickly downloaded and printed from any computer.
- Links
This section includes over 130 links to relevant websites. Each entry
includes a short description and is categorised into 9 sections, some
with subsections, for ease of use. You can also download the list as
one file from the Downloads section.
- Contact Us
This page holds current contact details for the Learner Forum.
Within the different sections of this website, remember to look along
the left side of the page for any extra links, below the eight main section
links. For example, this page includes an extra link to the disability
statement.
If you are unable to find what you are looking for, try the search bar
on the left side of each page. If you are having difficulties, please
check the help files in the Information section or contact us and we will
do our best to help.

This is where we're up to
We have set up the framework and now we need you to participate, contribute,
and become the Forum.
Any section of the website and the online group can be contributed to,
including news, information and website links. You can also use the online
group to provide feedback, give suggestions and set discussion topics
and polls. Please check the help files in the Information section for
guidance on how to contribute to the different sections.
